We saw back in the fall that Curious George was coming to Fort Worth, and we knew we had to go.

C has loved Curious George ever since she was about Nina's age {says the mom who said "no TV before 2"}, and we were a little giddy to see what she would think about the exhibit.

Play-by-play with no apologies. :P

We pulled into the parking lot, and there was a huge George banner on the side of the building. C noticed it almost immediately--"Deh-deh!" (Her version of George.)

We told her we were going to see George, and she giggled and giggled, and in we went. She waited patiently in the stroller and got so excited to see George on the wall at the entrance!

{I actually think we could have left at this point, and she would have been happy.}

But then we got inside, and Y'ALL.

I think it was the best day of her little life.

She got so excited to see the George statue and all the folks from the show {kisses for Charkie}.

She was too little for some of the exhibits, but she was able to play with several of them just fine.

Then, THEN...

In walked a larger-than-life George.

We were watching closely {read: nervously} to see what she would think, but she took off running toward him. There were a couple of other kids that got there first, so she had to wait her turn.

Then?? She gave George a big hug and got very excited about his hands and feet.

{We also had a photo/video miscommunication, so we only have one blurry shot. But that's why I blog--to remember this stuff.}

I am so sorry, family! If you dress up in a monkey suit, she will likely give you a hug, too.

She was also pretty excited about the stairs and the cafe, so the day ended well. We were there a good two hours, and I think she could have stayed longer. Nina Norris, of course, took everything in stride and did just fine, too.

We went on KERA day, which gave us a discounted admission, and the little gals were free! A museum membership, like one for the zoo, is definitely something we want to consider for next year.

Other housekeeping notes if you're planning on visiting? The stroller was a must and not hard to navigate, and the gift shop was fun to browse but pricey.

We were there around lunch time, so the crowd was actually pretty thin.

We had so much fun that we {all} slept through a birthday party we were supposed to attend that afternoon.

So, George, thanks for coming to Fort Worth and making my little girl's day. I hope we get to see you again!

    Good golly, those Norris girls get cuter every day! (Must be something in the water.)
    So delighted that a good time was had by all.
    Happy days, and in case I don't have another opportunity, a very joyous and blessed Christmas !

    1. Thank you, and happy Christmas to you as well! :)

  2. Awww! It isn't it just the best when their wildest dreams come true? Sam was that way about Thomas this past summer and we haven't found Miss Rachel's love yet :)

    1. How fun! She likes Thomas, too, but I can't figure out how. She has only seen his picture and maybe an episode or two, but she gets excited anytime she sees him. I'm sure Miss Rachel will fall for someone soon. ;)
