My Two Favorites

Can I just take a moment to say how thankful I am for these two?

Catherine is so blessed to have a dad like Jason. As the picture shows, he's ready to catch her and protect her, but he also nurtures her and is so gentle with her--giving her a great earthly picture of how our heavenly Father fathers us.

So important, because Catherine will look to her daddy for her model of what a husband should be like. God bless you all. I was blessed with a Father who danced with my Mom and sang to her. When we were too small to help out, there was my Daddy, after dinner, helping wash the dishes with his sleeves rolled up and one of my Mom's aprons tied across him, mid-chest, so he wouldn't get his shirt and tie dirty. He used to say to us all the time, "That's your Mother. Isn't she BEAUTIFUL?" And, " (NAME, " "that is your MOTHER, not your maid. Please pick up after yourself." and when we came home from school he would say, "Doesn't this house look beautiful? Your Mother worked so hard today." I could go on and on with the stories and examples. All I know is that we loved and respected my Mom and learned to be grateful for all she did because he pointed it all out to us everyday. From the time we were small we heard, "You kids thank God that you have such a wonderful Mother. Everybody doesn't have a Mummy like that." He always put her needs ahead of his own; and she did the same for him. Theirs was a real model of what a marriage should be...an ever-deepening love, a courtship that lasted until my Father's passing, not just until the end of the Wedding Day. Daddy's been gone almost 20 years now, and he's still Mummy's sweetheart. She talks about him every day. They made ours a home full of love and laughter. I thank God every day because the memories of my childhood still warm me today.
