So I'm a bit behind. ;)
And I still can't believe we have a one-year-old! This year has flown--flown, I tell you!
Catherine is so much fun and seems to learn something new every day.
She's easily pulling up to stand and trying so hard to stand on her own but just hasn't quite gotten there yet. She has lots of fun trying new sounds and babbling {says "da" for "yes" and "hot" when she looks at the coffee pot because her parents are addicts}.
I feel like she turned one, and--boom!--all these changes hit. She is off of formula, starting "school," {more on both of those later this week}, eating "real" food, and taking baths in the "big" bath thanks to the bath toys that were a birthday gift from her pal Georgia. {The earlier attempt had resulted in meltdowns--complete with "nanana" for "no," so we'd reverted to the infant tub.}
And I just used a lot of quotation marks in that last paragraph. :P
She loves music, seeing how things work, chasing Fred, Curious George, and getting into everything we are into! {Of course!}
Anyway, she is a teensy thing--at almost 29 inches, but still hovering around 15 pounds. This is our one area of concern since she's dropped below the 2% mark. We're feeding her as much food as she'll eat and hoping she'll bulk up soon. {This seemed to be the only doctor recommendation, so if any of you have further advice, feel free to pass it along.}
We can't believe we're lucky enough to be her parents! What an amazing, wonderful year this has been with our girl!

Well, that Miz C. has just captured my heart, that's all there is to it. My favorite picture is Miz. C. with her Grandpa. They both look plain delighted with each other.
ReplyDeleteHappy days, and happy new year to the always enchanting Miz. C.
Smooches, Baby Girl.
Leah
Oh, that feeling is for sure mutual between those two!
DeleteI don't have any advice for you on getting her weight up. My kids also didn't gain a lot of weight -- ever -- and at one point Sam was below the fifth percentile. I will pray she gains some weight soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I discovered that so many changes seem to accompany one. It's crazy and fun at the same time!
